Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

Wow, already Memorial Day weekend.  You sure can tell by all the traffic here in Cumberland!

Well, I will start with I still have my T-Tube and I am still talking great!  Allergies have been terrible just like everyone else.  So, I have been having to suction extra, which is no biggie!  It's actually kind of nice to be able to just suction it out rather than to struggle with it!  I had a bout with a sinus infection and was a little miserable for a little while, but that is all gone and I feel 100% better๐Ÿ˜.

As far as the other surgeries.  We are waiting on 2 things to be able to submit all my information to insurance for the weight loss surgery.  My psychological evaluation and a letter from my endocrinologist.  They want me to have the weight loss surgery to speed the weight loss process up because I need to loose so much before I can have the tracheal resection surgery.  This is the BIG throat one I need to be able to get rid of my trach.  Dr. Gray will take out the part of my trachea that keeps growing shut and rebuild it.  As soon as they get the word from insurance, surgery will be scheduled!!

I just can't wait to be "normal" again.  Although, looking back I think I've done ok with all of this.  Of course I've had my moments, who wouldn't?  Now, I'm so excited to be back into dog training and helping with 4-H!  Something I've truly loved and missed!

So the plan is to eventually not have my trach, but until then I'll be "Trachin it one day at a time" ❤️
