I worked today!!!

Well today I tried working again for 4 hours....and it went awesome!  Nothing like last time!!!  I took it easy and had NO breathing problems like last time.  Let me tell you, I'm so excited it is all I can talk about!  Now, we are at Rochester for a follow up appointment early tomorrow morning.  So, please say a little prayer we get some answers :).  I will update after my apt:)

One month Post Surgery

Thursday was my one month post op anniversary!  I am FINALLY feeling better from the pneumonia!  I've been a good girl, not lifting, etc, and even though I've been feeling better, I've just been sitting and reading or watching TV.  Tomorrow all of us are going to a Brewers game because I got free tickets from Kwik Trip, so that should at least be fun!  Got my cortisol rechecked and it was up to 6.8.  Although, that's within a normal range, considering I was so low before she wants to do some other testing to make sure I'm safe to taper.  I'll, have to call next week to schedule that.  Nothing else too exciting to share!  Quiet is good!!!  Attached some pics of the most adorable little man ever ❤️ and my scar right after surgery vs. now 🫶.

Yayyyyy!!!!

It has been a few days since I updated, but I was waiting until THINGS actually happened!  Monday I did the "lift" test at the hospital to see if I was able to return to work.  I had to lift 50 lbs, put it on the floor, lift it back up and walk a short distance with it.  Guess what!!!  I passed!!!  I am able to return to work.  So, I got a text this evening from another Angel (Michele) asking if I wanted to work tomorrow night 11pm-7am!  Of course, I responded YES!!  I have been waiting 2 months and 1 day for this!  I am going back 1 to 3 months earlier than what was originally expected with my condition!  I do have some restrictions at first, I can only lift 20lbs and my doctor doesn't want me to do the 12 hour shifts for at least one week to see how I do.  If after that week I am feeling good and feel like I can do the 12 hour shifts, I probably can!
